What we do — and don't

We provide companionship and practical support — help around the home, social support, getting out and about, and medication prompting. We do not provide personal care (hands-on help with washing, bathing, toileting, dressing, eating, or mobility), and we do not administer medication. Because of this, we are not required to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). If you need personal care, we'll gladly help point you towards a registered provider.

How care starts

We begin with a free assessment of what's needed, then agree a written Care Plan and a clear, written quote with you before any care starts. Nothing is confirmed until you've seen it in writing.

What it costs

Fees depend on the type of support, the hours needed, and location, and are always confirmed in writing first. Our minimum home visit is one hour. For care-home staffing cover, our minimum booking is four hours per shift. We'll give you notice in advance of any change to our fees.

Changing or ending care

You can change or cancel visits — we just ask for reasonable notice, as our carers' time is committed in advance. Either side can end the overall arrangement with reasonable written notice, and we'll help you arrange alternative care wherever we can.

What you can expect from us

Care delivered with skill and kindness, by trained, DBS-checked staff, who treat you with dignity and respect. We're insured, we follow our safeguarding and data-protection duties, and we keep proper records.

What we ask of you

Give us accurate information about needs and any risks in the home, provide a safe environment for our staff, and treat our carers with respect. We don't tolerate abuse of our staff.

Keeping people safe

The wellbeing of the people we support comes first. We have a duty to act on any concern that someone may be at risk of harm, and may share information with the relevant authorities where needed to keep someone safe.
